Is there going to be South Korea’s first Media Company in North Korea ?

The Ministry of Unification stated on June 6 that it approved JTBC’s application for its visit to North Korea.

JTBC received an invitation from the North Korean National Reconciliation Council and applied for permission to visit North Korea to The Ministry of Unification. The Ministry of Unification approved the visit after consulting with organization related to the matter.

Eight people, including JTBC’ Kwon Suk-chun who is in charge of the North Korean visit will stay in Pyongyang from September 9 to 12 to meet with officials at the North Korean national reconciliation council and its broadcasting officials.

The ministry added that the purpose of the visit was to discuss the North-South media exchange and the establishment of a Pyongyang bureau.
